Bill was born and raised in South Carolina and graduated from the College of Charleston in 1992 with a B.A. in Political Science. In 1998, he earned his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. Returning south, Bill followed his uncle into private practice in Hinesville, Georgia. In 2001, Bill moved to Atlanta and opened up his own law firm where he practiced as a solo practitioner for two years before joining Childers, Schlueter & Smith, LLC in 2003.

As a member of both the State Bar of Georgia and the State Bar of South Carolina, Bill has dedicated his legal career to representing individuals who have suffered personal injury and damages from the negligence of others. Since joining the firm in 2003, Bill has continued this focus.

“I don’t prepare my cases to settle, I prepare them for trial.”

Bill is an active member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, serving as Co-Chairman of the New Lawyer’s Section from 2000-2003.

In his spare time, Bill enjoys pursuing numerous outdoor activities, including running, hiking, skiing, and following South Carolina Gamecock football.
